Cinema of Denial Arrives in Sedeh
For the first time, the Persian edition of Cinema of Denial is being read in the city of Sedeh, in Isfahan Province, Iran. The image documents a resident of Sedeh reading a passage from the book at the city’s Wednesday market. This marks the beginning of the Persian release, which, as previously stated, was intentionally launched from Sedeh before any wider distribution.Cinema of Denial is an independent long-form project exploring stabilization, residue, repetition, and the continuation of systems under pressure. Over recent years, the work has gradually been translated into multiple languages. The Persian edition now begins its public circulation from a local and personal point of origin. Rather than a formal launch event, this moment records something simpler: a text being read, in a real place, by one of the people of that city.
